CLASSES AT MOVEMENT
We offer classes for all ages and experience levels.

Youth - ages 3-6
Youth Boys Hip Hop - ages 6-8
Junior - ages 7-11
Intermediate - 11-14
Advanced - 14-Adult
BALLET
Youth, Junior, Intermediate, Advanced
Ballet is the foundation to develop solid ballet technique with emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body, and use of arms.
JAZZ
Youth, Junior, Intermediate, Advanced
Jazz will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz.
HIP HOP
Junior Boys, Teen Boys, Intermediate/Advanced
Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles notably popping, locking and breaking.
CONTEMPORARY
Junior, Intermediate, Advanced
Contemporary encourages versatility in expressions through movement and emotion. It focuses on spacial/body awareness, body weight uses, and floor work as well as elements of modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet.
TAP
Youth, Junior, Intermediate/Advanced
Tap is a style of dance characterized by the sound of the metal tap striking the floor. Tap utilizes rhythm, syncopation, and sound in addition to movement. An emphasis is placed on musicality, expression, and improvisation.
PROGRESSIONS
Junior, Intermediate, Advanced
Progressions will allow developing dancers a space outside their fundamental classes to focus on the technical development of leaps and turns, as well as other movement across the floor alternating the focus between combinations of varying styles.
ACRO
Junior, Intermediate/Advanced
Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on acrobatic technique based on skill level.
STRENGTH TRAINING
Advanced/Adult
As a dancer, you need focused strength, balance, and flexibility to execute the artistic movements and skills with power and grace. This class will help improve your technique and performance in all dance forms by strengthening the body's core while improving coordination, balance, and alignment and optimizing flexibility.
